In most cases it doesn't take a whole lot to make this boy happy. The big smiles come out the brightest when we invest in some quality outside time. That's just what we did today.
What a delight to find a cute little Easter basket on our doorstep...a sandbox bucket filled with raisins, apples, and oranges. The perfect afternoon snack for our Mr. Isaiah James. Thanks to our thoughtful neighbor, Marge. Bailey obviously enjoyed the dropped raisins as well...
We got the wagon out today. And towed that thing all the way to the back of the yard...many times...only stopping to add some of the good-smelling lilacs we picked. Good times.
And this is what these two do...every single day. Chase one another until it's naptime. I swear they don't stop moving until they are fast asleep. Constant motion, constant entertainment.
A moment at the top of the slide...contemplating if he can go down without holding the hand of his mama. He is in that stage of toddlerhood where he is constantly going from the thrill of independence - always wanting to do things for himself and by himself. But then there is the reminder of vulnerability, wanting and needing his mama - trying to be brave, but craving comfort and security. I'll embrace both ends of the spectrum!
A little Shane: my little man desires nothing more than to be just like my husband. Hence, the hands in the pockets. Just. Like. Daddy.
And then, we will count rocks. All the way to 10. It's better if Mommy counts and Zay lines them up.
I've got nothing but love for these perfect hands and feet.
