haha...it's neither good or bad, Allison. :) And probably not all that interesting to anyone besides me, but we have to measure mg of "phe" in all of Zay's food...and phe is found in protein, however after talking to Zay's dietitian today I learned that nutritional labels really aren't all that precise...they are allowed to round to whole numbers, so even though it may say "0 grams of protein", there could still be some in it... Just thought it was fascinating...we are learning all kinds of things with our little man starting solids! :)
I just learned that also, last week with Noah. I have been giving him 1 or 2 puffs a day to try and get him to start accepting some solids. At first he would just spit them out, but yesterday he actually left one in long enough to eat it.
Luckily, that's like 80 puffs! :) Carson will eat them sometimes, but he still won't feed them to himself. The only thing he will eat by himself is the wagon wheels, which have about 6mg per wheel (3 of them have 17g). I wonder why they are so much higher than the puffs? Anyway, he will only eat one, or part of one, right now, so it's good if he needs some extra phe after a meal. I find that very fascinating, Jackee! :)
