Our life...in black and white

There is something about black and white pictures. I love the simplicity.

It's been awhile since I've blogged with actual words...and really this blogpost won't be much different. I'm just loving pictures with short captions these days. It's pretty much my days lately. Isaiah has me going from one conversation to another and then throw in Elizabeth with her shrills and squeals...and both of them needing diaper/potty help. And then food...we hardly get breakfast over with and it's time for lunch...then dinner. Oh my...does my family really need to eat EVERY meal of the day? Ha! Anyway...thanks for hanging with this 'ol blog. Here is some fun pictures. Our life...in black and white!

Zay has quite a thing for sunglasses and hats these days...he wears them anytime and anywhere.

Ellie...each morning she starts off her day in the bouncer...watching Zay, waiting for mommy.

Zay...LOVES playing fetch with Bailey. He always lasts longer than she does and starts throwing her toys right at her to see if she will somehow get interested in the game again.

Example: Ellie watching Zay!

He's such a fun-loving, full-of-life kind of boy!

Do you notice some baby toys? Our living room is usually cluttered with these walker, bouncers, playmats...I love it...it means we have a baby girl around here!

Love this expression of both of them catching Bailey out of the corner of their eye!

What's that? You don't climb under stools? We do.

My little laundry man. (He seems to make more laundry than help DO the laundry!)

"HEY MOM...!"

Where she can be found when Zay is awake...at his feet.

See...told ya.

Elle-Belle...how cute can you get?

She is HAPPY when she wakes up from a great nap. Me too.

The End. This was fun...maybe I'll have to do a few more posts on "our life...in black and white"!

our life as of late

I need to take more time and write about the things my kids come up with. They are so fascinating to me. Growing, learning, changing, challenging...their little brains work on overtime.

Zay comes up with the funniest stories and reasons for doing things. We got a Little People Doll House for him (and someday Elle). His role-playing is such an insight to how he perceives the world around him. He literally takes the daddy to the next room, because daddy's go to work. And daddy's workout, so he pretends the daddy is going for a run. Mommy is obviously less motivated, but she does make dinner, answers the doorbell, does laundry, and sometimes goes on the roof of the house. Because ya know, this happens in real life. And the baby basically takes naps, but also sometimes answers the doorbell. Zay fetches his Bible, reads a story and then prays for the Little People family when they all go to bed. It's cute. Oh...and Daddy stands up to potty and Mommy sits down. He knows. :)

Elle has learned to control her little hands and knows how to give big-wide-open-mouth kisses. Oh the sweetness. And she communicates. I hate to say it, but she's an easier baby than Zay was. She can have her moments. But she's the comical-kind-of-dramatic, rather than the I-don't-know-what-to-do-with-this-baby-kind-of-fussy. During the daytime hours she is a simple joy. Very easy to please. Very content. Basically keep her fed, clean and rested and there will be no problems. We've hit a few weeks of a little temper throwing in the evening, but I think it's getting better.

Pictures to illustrate two fast-changing kiddos...

She's rollin. Not necessarily over, but back-and-forth, back-and-forth...until she's across the room.

The girl likes to play. She hits, bangs and swings all of her toys with great determination, while simultaneously squealing with delight.

This boy. Oh my. He's a hoot. And a performer.

Poor Bailey. Desperate for a haircut.
