You are such a GOOD baby! Unless you are hungry, you are basically content all the time. You really have started to show us your personality in the last month. You love to smile and coo when we talk to you. If you do cry, it's a sweet little girly cry...something very different from your brother's cry. ;)
You are doing so well switching between your PKU formula and breastfeeding. From the beginning you've been so laid back about what you eat and how you get it...bottle or nursing. Mommy THANKS you for that!
You are sleeping fairly well, but Mommy is looking forward to our first night of sleeping through the night! You generally wake up about 2:30-3:00am to eat and then go right back to bed. Then on average you wake up again between 5:00-6:00am.
You started using your cloth diapers this last month. So far it's been working wonderfully! You don't seem to mind them and Mommy actually is starting to prefer cloth over disposable! And it's so nice not to have to add diapers to the shopping list each week!!! Plus you are adorable in them...an added bonus!
Mommy continues to think you look so much like your Daddy, but you also look a lot like Zay. I'm sure you have a couple of Mommy's traits, but you are definitely your Daddy's little girl!
You also love your big brother. He is quite active so he is a lot of fun to watch. And most of the time he is very helpful taking care of you! He will give you your paci. He has been known to give you kisses. He tells Mommy when you are crying. And when you were in disposable diapers he would take them to the trash for you...although it took him awhile to stop telling you to get up and WALK so you could take care of your own diapers. :)
We've made a few different trips in the last month. You met a lot of Mommy's old co-workers. We stayed overnight at the Duncan's house...where Leyton and Riley were trying their hardest to impress you. We determined they were trying to get dibs on who gets to ask you out on a date first (better not tell Daddy!). We visited Grandma Judy, Grandma Becky and Papa Jim. We went to a wedding. Mommy and you traveled to Des Moines for PKU Board Meeting and to see Erin & Aaron. You experienced your first Halloween this last month. And probably a lot more fun things we've done in your short 2 months of life!
We love you so much, Ellie! You are so much fun to snuggle and love on. We can't wait to watch you grow more and more as the months go by. But you can also slow down...Mommy is cherishing every moment with you while you are little!
