Pictures, Pictures, and more Pictures!

Lots of pictures from today! :)

"Hey Mom & Dad!"

Hanging out with my favorite four-legged friends!

Daddy brought home a new toy and Isaiah LOVED it! Might even be motivation to do some more rolling over!

"Hey Mom...are you trying to get me to roll over again?"

"Oh Mom...you are so persistent about this!"

"Seriously...you crack me up!"

"Hi, Bails...NO kisses PLEASE!"

"Wait...where ya going?"

"NO! Come back...I'll take your kisses!"

"Oh...I guess Mom is still here...she'll do."

Getting ready for bath time!

Just playin around...

"Hey...let me see that camera!"

"Ahhh...I love bath time!" :)

4 Month Stats & Other Updates

Today we had Isaiah's 4 month Dr. Appointment.

We found out that it's not just our imagination...our little guy IS growing like a weed!

Weight: 17.2 lbs (90th percentile)
Height: 25 in (50th percentile)
Head Circumference: 44 cm (90 percentile)

Everything went very well at his appointment. He got three shots today and he was a champ! Just fussed a little when they poked him, then he was done crying and started giggling at the nurses. What a good little boy! It didn't surprise me he was so strong, because he never cries when we do his heal pricks during the week. Poor thing is so used to getting poked, he doesn't hardly even notice it any more!

We might be starting some rice cereal soon! We will talk to our dietitian next week to be sure, but sounds like he might be ready for it! Let the fun begin! Next weekend we will be attending a cooking class for PKU families. I'm excited to start learning how to cook for our little boy!

Also, an update on our insurance company situation. We found out that Shane's company is self-insured. Which we are hoping is good for our situation. Basically it means that Waterloo Industries (actually Fortune Brands that owns Waterloo Industries)uses United Healthcare to administer their plan, but WI has the ultimate decision on whether they will cover Isaiah's formula. This is making it a little easier for us, because Shane is able to talk to people he actually knows and works with about the situation, not an insurance company that doesn't know us at all. We are still waiting to hear what is going to happen, but things are looking a little more hopeful for us! We are blessed!

That's all for now...hopefully more pictures in another post later! :)

Big milestones for our little boy...

Today...Isaiah rolled over!

He decided that now that he's 4 months old, he's big enough to get movin around! Today he rolled over 3 times in a row and then again later on. So far it is just from his tummy to his back, but I don't think it will be long before he's going both ways!

Here I go...rollin over!

He's also helping us hold his bottle now too. He has a hard time when it's all the way full...little heavy for him, but when the bottle is a little emptier he gets his hands up there and holds it. He also definitely recognizes what his bottle is...gets really excited when he sees it!

Helping Daddy out by feeding himself while Daddy gets some work done. This picture doesn't really show how he can hold his own bottle, but it'll have to do!

One other thing that he's been doing lately is giggling. It's so cute! He gets so excited when he sees you and if you tickle him he will giggle and giggle and giggle some more!

I'm giggling at Daddy!

Lakers Game!

Shane and I have made it a tradition that our Christmas gift to each other is tickets to go to a Lakers game. So far every year has been in Minneapolis, which means we just make a long weekend out of it...I'm waiting for the game that we finally get to go to LA.

Anyway, this year was Isaiah's first year to come! We were so excited to bring him. We had multiple offers from grandmas to watch him, however Shane was convinced that Isaiah needed to attend his first Lakers game at just under 4 months of age! Ha!

This year we left on Thursday and stopped at the outlet mall on the way up to Minneapolis (mainly to let Isaiah stretch and get out of his carseat for a bit) and we also went to the Mall of America on our way into town.

We always stay right downtown since the Target center is within walking distance to most of the hotels. We got to our hotel about 6:30 on Thursday night and just ordered in our dinner, since we wanted to get settled.

On Friday we drove to Albertville to do a little shopping at an outlet mall there. Isaiah was SO good the entire time. It was a nice day, so we were able to put him in the stroller and wheel him into all the stores!

After all day shopping, we went back to the hotel so Isaiah could get a little nap before the game. We went out for dinner at Hubert's, the sports bar connected to the Target Center. It was still really nice outside, so we sat on the patio! Then it was on to the game! Isaiah did amazing at the game...basically slept through the whole thing...even with all the noise!

On Saturday we made a quick stop at IKEA on the way out of town and then we were on the road home. We went to Forest City to see our friends Jeremy and Natalie and also made a quick stop to see Grandma Judy on the way home too.

It was a great weekend, and we enjoyed every minute of it! I especially enjoyed spending time with Shane and Isaiah...we had many, many laughs and made lots of memories. A trip we won't forget anytime soon!

Here are some pictures from our trip!

Mall of America...here we come! (Shane was already commenting on me taking pictures...He sometimes thinks I'm crazy, but I'm convinced that someday we are going to love looking back at this blog and looking at the pictures I made my boys pose for! :)

Shane and Isaiah in the Apple Store...this was the reason for the stop at the Mall of America. Shane wanted to check out the new Ipad...pretty cool!

Isaiah's first night in a hotel! "Guys...do I get this king bed all to myself!?! I think there's enough room for me to stretch out!"

Playing with Daddy!

Hanging out with Mommy!

Ready for bed!

Night, night!

Got my jersey on...all ready for the game!

Mom ruined my outfit...she said I had to stay warm.

Getting ready to walk to the game! Thank goodness for the baby carrier! Isaiah loved being in it and watching all the people...worked out great for the game!

Eating dinner before the game...

Shane and Isaiah at the game!

Didn't take long for Isaiah to fall asleep in mommy's arms...

Probably the youngest Laker fan at the game!
